Terms & Acceptable Use

Last updated 14 August 2026

What this site is

What's Queer lists LGBTQ+ events, venues and groups in Manchester. Anyone can browse it; anyone can submit an event, venue or group for consideration. By using the site — browsing, submitting, reporting, or requesting a removal — you're agreeing to the points below.

Submitting content

Every submitted event, venue and group goes into a pending queue and is reviewed by an admin before it appears publicly — nothing you submit goes live automatically. We may edit submissions for clarity, formatting, or to fit the site's categories, and we may decline to publish something without it counting as a judgement on the event itself.

What's not allowed

Reporting a problem

If you spot something that shouldn't be here — an inaccurate listing, a broken link, something that violates the points above, or your own event/venue that needs correcting or removing — use Report an Issue or Request a Removal. Both go straight to an admin. We aim to review reports promptly, but this is currently a one-person-run project, so please be patient.

Accuracy of listings

We do our best to keep listings accurate, but event details (times, prices, whether it's actually still happening) can change after submission and aren't independently re-verified by us on an ongoing basis. Always double-check directly with the venue or organiser before making plans, especially for anything time- or money-sensitive.

No liability for third-party events

What's Queer lists events run by other people and venues — we're not the organiser of the events listed here, and we're not responsible for what happens at them. Any issue with an actual event (safety, refunds, conduct) is between you and that event's organiser/venue.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site grows. If we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
